SABROSO

Latin to Funk and everything between

For brothers Pablo and Ricardo Ojeda, making music together has been a lifelong journey. Through multiple acclaimed projects, their creative partnership has evolved while remaining rooted in a shared passion for rhythm, melody, and memorable live performances.

From the nationally touring grooves of Rubberneck to the passionate Latin rhythms of Toque Libre, the Ojeda brothers have consistently created music that transcends genres and brings people together. Their latest project, Sabroso—Spanish for "flavorful"—is the next chapter in that evolution.

Sabroso blends sophisticated Latin rhythms, deep funk grooves, soulful melodies, and infectious energy into a dynamic live show that keeps audiences moving. Whether performing at festivals, concert venues, corporate events, or private celebrations, the band creates an atmosphere that elevates any event.

The band features some of Portland's most accomplished musicians, including Pablo Ojeda (Rubberneck, Toque Libre, Geoff Byrd) on bass and vocals, Ward "The Warden" Griffiths (Fred Strickley, King Beta, The Quadraphones, The Gravy) on drums and percussion, and percussion master Brian L. Davis (Obo Addy, Dub Squad, Dan Reed Network, Pink Martini).

Adding power and excitement is a world-class horn section featuring trumpeter Paul Mazzio (Gino Vannelli, Tom Grant, Nu Shooz) and saxophonist John Nastos (Mel Brown, Christopher Brown, Bobby Torres, and Dianne Schuur). Completing the lineup is Ricardo Ojeda (Rubberneck, Toque Libre) on guitar and vocals, whose distinctive style helps shape the band's signature sound.

Combining exceptional musicianship, authentic Latin influences, and a commanding stage presence, Sabroso delivers an energetic, groove-driven performance that leaves a lasting impression.
